While I cannot yet share my experience or any details of the Veeam Backup and Replication v6 Beta that I have been using for over a month now, I would like to share a paper that Veeam released detailing the new features in Veeam Backup and Replication 6.
Honestly, I don’t really care about the addition of Hyper-V support, but it is there if you have chosen the Hyper-V path (notice I say path and not road… ;))
Anyhow, check out the article here.
Also here is a great blog post on the subject as well.
I am already preparing articles about v6 and how to get up and running, and how to scale it out for even very large environments without increasing your backup window. As soon as the product is released I will start posting them, trust me it will be worth the wait!
Very much looking forward to the articles. I’m a novice with Veeam as we just rolled out V5 at our office so I’m hoping to learn a lot!
Justin your blog is an absolute joy to read!
Thanks for the reference Justin. I’m anxiously awaiting the arrival of v6 and the proxied architecture. I think it will help in alot of ways in my environment. Great blog as well. Thanks again. Mike
