If you are a Backup Exec shop and also a vSphere 5.1 or Windows 2012 shop, you are going to want to get your Backup Exec updated today.
It’s hard to believe that its taken Symantec almost a year to support vSphere 5.1, but it’s true… vSphere 5.1 was released August 27th 2012 and it only took them 333 days! (Lets hope they can shorten that window when vSphere 5.5 is released 😉 )
New features/enhancements are included in this release

• Updated protection of SQL to include:
⁃ SQL 2012 SP1
⁃ SQL 2008 R2 SP2
• Protection of Exchange 2013 (Non-GRT only)
• Support for Exchange 2010 SP3
• Protection of SharePoint Server 2013 (Non-GRT only)
• Support for VMware® vSphere® 5.1
⁃ VMware ESX™ 5.1 and vCenter™ 5.1
